Ordering Guidelines from CCRP

·         Read the Drug section of the protocol. This section of the protocol is very thorough and can answer most questions. CCRP will generally refer coordinators there.

·         Drug orders must be received at CCRP at least 5-7 business days before courier date. Please keep in mind drugs must be ordered from the east coast, which closes promptly at 4:30pm EST. Therefore orders need to be received before 2:00pm at CCRP. This will allow an ample amount of time to order from the PMB.

·         Drug orders may capture only an 8 week period. This is not cycles, but 8 WEEKS. However, each cycle must be accounted for in the drug order.

·         The 8 week supply does not apply to PO medications that come as a kit. Any protocol specific drug that is supplied as a kit; must be received as a kit. All bottle/vials of a lot number need to be kept together and dispensed to the patient accordingly.

·         Coordinators that do hold an eight week supply must be checking their supply consistently. This is to ensure a patient does not receive an expired drug.

·         Any drug that does expire needs to be returned to CCRP main pharmacy. This applies to when a patient goes off treatment for any reason and there is remaining drug. In both instances returning drug to CCRP main pharmacy needs to be documented on the Satellite DARF.
